Peaceful demo against Batumi Dolphinarium resulted in clashes with security guards

05.02.2023. An attempt by the security staff of the dolphinarium to disrupt the peaceful protest held in front of the Batumi Dolphinarium. The action was held by Vegan Georgia and other activists. There  were informational flyers distributed informing passerbies about the cruelty and abuse hidden behind the concrete walls.

On the part of the employees there was an unjust restriction of the freedom of expression protected by the constitutionally guaranteed convention, which was manifested in physical and verbal abuse and an attempt to take away the banner. Animal rights advocates called the police on the spot, after which the rally was held. The action was covered by the media.

After the rally the activists wrote an application at the police, expecting a legal, fair and effective response.
