On 21 January, Vegan Georgia, with the great support of the Plant Based Treaty Tbilisi team, held an action introducing plant-based alternatives to the members of the public on the seafront of Batumi. The event was made possible with the genial help of Hore Bar, who cooked the scrumptious vegan sausages by Vrinda Foods who produced them. 👄🌱😻
Activists gave away seitan hot dogs to promote the idea that it is possible to eat good food (even fast food!) without harming animals. The overall feedback received at the giveaway was positive: most recipients did not notice any difference from sausages made of animal flesh, finding the plant-based version “even tastier than real meat”.
“We see it as a positive result of our our social: people had the opportunity to discover vegan alternatives and receive basic information about ethical eating”, activists say.
